The One Family, One Professional (OFOP) Program of the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental continued to empower thousands of students across the province, particularly fourth-year scholars now in their final push toward earning their degrees.

During the March 3 and March 5 payout, more or less 3,000 OFOP scholars received educational assistance in various municipalities, helping them sustain their academic needs as the school year enters its most crucial stage.

For graduating students, the support comes at a critical time. Fourth-year scholars often face heavier financial demands, including thesis expenses, project requirements, on-the-job training costs, and graduation fees.

Among the beneficiaries is Zefania S. Duhaylungsod, a fourth-year Bachelor of Secondary Education student, who shared that the program has significantly eased her family’s financial burden as she completes her degree.

Meanwhile, Jay Medina, a fourth-year Criminology student, also expressed gratitude for the assistance, saying it continues to support his daily academic needs as he prepares to finish his studies.

“Nigaan ang finances sa akong pag-eskwela,” he added, “Dili pariha sauna nga kailangan ko maningakmot extra para makuha ang needs sa akong pag-eskwela.”

Through OFOP, the province ensures that more young Misamisnons finish college and become professionals, strengthening not only individual families but the future workforce of the province./PGMO
